Cold Finish alloy steel bars provide quality, productivity and economy through the features of enhanced mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy, enhanced straightness and brighter uniform surface through the process of cold drawing. Along with enhanced machinability, cold finished alloy steel bars provide measurable value. There are three factors that add value to cold finished steel bars over hot rolled steel bars:

Description: This alloy responds well to heat treatment. Its chromium content provides good hardness penetration, and the molybdenum imparts uniformity of hardness and high strength. In the annealed condition it machines at 110 sfm. Other desirable properties include good wear resistance, excellent toughness and good ductility in the quenched and tempered condition. |
