LASER TECHNOLOGY ENHANCES COMPREHENSIVE CAPABILITIES AT WISCONSIN STEEL AND TUBE
THE STEEL SERVICE CENTER CONTINUES ITS EVOLUTION INTO CONTRACT MANUFACTURING AND ADDS TWO TUBE LASER MACHINES, ENHANCING ITS SERVICE AND CAPABILITIES FOR STEEL CUSTOMERS.
Wisconsin Steel and Tube will add two precision laser machines to enhance its tube capabilities starting in 2021.
“As we continue to grow and evolve as a contact manufacturer, we take seriously our need to diversify and amplify our capabilities,” says Joseph Teich, President of Wisconsin Steel and Tube. “The investment in these machines allows us to leverage innovative technology and provide comprehensive service to our customers, while adhering to our quick delivery of quality, precision parts.”
WHAT WILL THIS LASER TECHNOLOGY ADD?
The machines include the ByTube130 Laser Cutting System and Tube M3 Laser System for Tube Cutting FL300. This adds the following capabilities at Wisconsin Steel and Tube:
The ByTube130 employs fiber laser technology and the FL300 employs large diameter CO2 laser technology; both options provide extremely fast cutting speeds while reducing operating costs — the speed and size range will allow us to be extremely competitive and add much needed additional capacity to our tube laser department.
Between the two machines, Wisconsin Steel and Tube can process round tubes ranging from 0.375” to 12” and square tubes from 0.6” x 0.6 up to 10” x 10”.
Both machines offer excellent performance in terms of acceleration and speed as well as the high precision in the whole working field are granted
