Strong Team, State of the Art Technology Kicks off New Year for WST

Joseph “JT” Teich
President & CEO

January always brings the sense of a fresh start and new ambitions. At Wisconsin Steel & Tube, our team is proud of the year behind us and excited about the years to come.

As we dive into the new year, Joseph “JT’ Teich, President and CEO of Wisconsin Steel and Tube and WST Fab, reflects on the company’s growth and goals. Here’s what he had to say:

I have the best management team in the history of Wisconsin Steel & Tube. What this team has achieved in the last four plus years is incredible. All of our employees are doing a fantastic job, we have so many stand out employees.

For example our Human Resource Department is the strongest it has ever been in the history of our company. It all starts with that department, if they are not bringing in good candidates then your company will never grow.

Our 2022 expansion has given us more room to improve efficiency throughout the facility, allowing us to bring in more machines to offer competitive services to our customers. Our improved laser technology has been a game changer for both locations - the capabilities that we can perform is incredible - and we experienced greater growth than we anticipated. This, in part, is because our competitors simply cannot keep up with all of the technology improvements we’ve made at both locations.

The biggest benefit to our customers is that we are quickly becoming a one stop operation. As a company, we are able to compete at a higher level, and our staff enjoy working on state-of-the-art machines.

As we move into 2023 and beyond, we will continue to grow our operations at both Wisconsin Steel & Tube and WST FAB.  We are focused on improving the utilization of our current equipment at both locations, and are in the process of implementing a new ERP system. We will never stop our technology growth; one area we will be focusing on in the near future is automating our facilities.

Currently, we have the best staff in the industry.  Some changes or challenges will be bringing in new employees that can perform at the high level our current staff is at. We are going to bring in people that can continually make Wisconsin Steel & Tube a great company.

Here’s to another great year! Reach out to our team to see how we can meet your machining needs.
